Born and raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Mary Ann learned early that starting over is rarely simple. But it’s often necessary. Divorced at 30, she raised three children as a single mom while working part-time jobs and attending business school. She went on to build a 30-year career with AAA before retiring and beginning a new chapter as an author.

Through her books, Mary Ann connects her experience with readers navigating change, resilience, and reinvention. She stays active in social groups, helps organize hiking and women’s groups, volunteers locally, and makes time for photography, painting flowers, traveling, reading, and writing.

She treasures time with her family and grandchildren, and shares her home with Spunky and Moxie, two cats who interrupt her writing with equal parts mischief and affection.
